Landing back from Interlift 2025 in Nuremberg, it was straight to the Research and Development Labs for Airdri Group Engineering Design Manager Alex Goldman.
Interlift is the world’s leading expo and trade event for the elevator industry – so naturally Formula Systems (part of the Airdri Group) was right in the middle of it all.
Alex shares his reflections on the event, which he attended with Luke Cartwright, Airdri Group Embedded Electronics Engineer.
“The historic city of Nuremberg provided a fascinating location for the Interlift 2025 exposition. The event brings together companies in the fields of lift systems, components, control systems and safety solutions. Combining exhibits with lectures and meeting opportunities for thousands of people makes for a very busy but organised and impactful event for the sector, and thanks must go to the organisers.”
“There is great value for Formula Systems as a leading R&D and engineering-led business in the elevator safety technologies sector to ascertain the latest on current developments, and to bring our expertise to discussions around future trends.”
“The exposition presented us with opportunities to listen to leading elevator companies and discuss any novel solutions to customer requirements, code changes, and to look strategically at both challenges and opportunities in the market. Topics ranged from robotics, AI and cybersecurity to sustainability and energy-efficiency.”
“Formula Systems is exceptionally well-placed to lead, as we have done with our world-class Vision Plus 3D curtains of light product.”
“We have identified gaps in the market, and customers’ challenges that we can solve for them. Formula Systems’ R&D facility in Oxford and its North America operations in Chicago, is generating new product ideas. These go further and anticipate future requirements in the elevator manufacturing and servicing sector as it evolves; always with a fundamental focus on people – their safety and accessibility.”
